We are celebrating the anniversary of Margaret Thatcher becoming Conservative Party Leader.
She promised a party that would honestly reckon with the mistakes of the previous Government.
She didn't rush into policy announcements, but set out a detailed vision for where she wanted to take the United Kingdom.
A vision rooted in the conservative principles shared by millions of people across the country.
She brought our Party from Opposition back into Government in just four years.
And of course as Prime Minister she built a legacy that changed Britain for the better.
